Dear Dave Chappelle,
Dude, what the hell happened? Your show was the greatest and a bona fide cultural phenomenon. I maintain that season two is the funniest in television history. Do you realize that South Park into Chappelle’s Show was an unstoppable comedic tour de force? Why did you have to go all recluse on us?
I have read about some of your surprise appearances including a recent one in Portland. So I know you are still alive. Perhaps it is time to let the paranoia slide and rejoin mainstream society? We could have used you recently. Michael Vick, Bernie Madoff, President Obama, the Recession, Michael Jackson…all topics you would have knocked out of the park. You could have at least given us the Wayne Brady Show or something.
I hate you for what you have done. Unless you return in some capacity, then I will retract that last statement. Thank you for your time (you must have plenty of it). Sincerely,
