Tiger Woods’ romps are not the only thing going on in the world (good job with the voicemail; nice work). Here are a few other items I think deserve mention…
–Allen Iverson will return to Philadelphia. I am a big fan of this news. It is almost perfect. A.I. will get a chance to prove he can still play while fulfilling his desire to remain the top dog. And let’s be honest, no one was interested in the 76ers until now. They need to give him the ball and tell him to go. Philadelphia is built to run and A.I. to A.I. (Andre Iguodala) and the rest of the 76ers will form an interesting and competitive (playoff level) team. They are not a real threat but at least he has one last opportunity to salvage part of his basketball reputation.
–Ron Artest admitted he used to drink at halftime of games. So? Don’t get me wrong, drinking during games is bad (unless you are in the park; some of the guys there reek of booze). But this is Ron Artest. Is there anything he could say that would surprise you? This is the same guy who appeared on Jimmy Kimmel in his boxers, who recorded the oddest tribute song I have ever heard (to Michael Jackson), who applied for a job at Circuit City to get the employee discount (listing Bulls’ owner Jerry Krause as a reference) and who has eyes that are clearly not exactly in tune with his brain. He could say, ‘I gave birth to Godzilla’ and I wouldn’t be shocked. Consider the source.
–Floyd Mayweather has agreed to fight Manny Pacquiao. It looks like it could happen March 13 and it might take place in a football arena, maybe even the new Cowboys Stadium. This will be the biggest boxing event in more than 10 years and I am fairly giddy about it. The next question is, who wins? Every time I see Pac-Man fight lately I am more impressed. He is fast, his delivery is awkward and he has the “Fist of the North Star.” However, I’m still taking Floyd. I have never seen him beaten and I will take his size, skill and technique over Pac’s physical skills until I see otherwise. Manny will play the hero, Floyd the villain. I think the bad guy wins this one.

–The first poster from “Iron Man 2″ (featuring War Machine) is online. It is awesome.

first of all i think you and most people are overrating the return of a.i. he was worth nothing but L’s in denver, benched in detroit, and dropped from memphis after 3 games. the dude blew up in the prime of my watching sports and starting to really understand it(him and kobe were the bomb) and was so awesome and fun to watch, he even took a shitty team to the finals. but he is washed up now. straight up done, his impact isnt gonna be much, and im in no way excited about this move. i gave up on a.i when he went to detroit and i thought it was a decent move and turned into a disaster.
thats some funny shit about artest i never heard half those stories. the lakers are strong right now, theyre gonna repeat no doubt in my mind
paqman v mayweather is gonna be the biggest and best fight since the days of ali foreman in my opinion. prejail tyson was a truly bad man and all time great and was a draw but his competition wasnt much, and postjail tyson actually fought big names but was half the man he was before he got locked up. in terms of ratings and skill this is gonna be the greatest boxing match in my lifetime. im super pumped for this
iron man is gonna be so awesome, the first one was dope (even though the final fight scene was a major dissapointment)and theres no reason to think this one wont be better. i know im in the minority but i actually liked the new hulk better then the new iron man
