I am about to cry. I have spent all day dealing with various technical difficulties. That could very well be the most frustrating way to spend any amount of time. I think I’d get less frustrated trying to free the sword from the stone or attempting to win a stuffed animal in that claw game.
I have previously voiced my disdain for the automated voice lady. Well, I got to hear plenty from her today. I had a billing issue I needed resolved and sure enough she said things like “press one for this option you don’t want” and “press two for another retarded option.” How come pressing zero doesn’t work anymore? Why do I have to deal with that bitch?
Later in the day it was file conversion issues. I don’t know what that means either. That is why it took me so long to figure out. How the hell am I supposed to know what frickin’ program to download or what to install to convert some extension I don’t understand to another extension I don’t understand? I spent at least four hours googling it and then practicing mostly unsuccessful trial and error attempts.
Finally, I finished. And now I have to do the work I was trying to do in the first place. The hammock and asian masseuse will have to wait I guess; at least my newfound technology is functioning properly now.
