There is a lot of stuff going on but nothing that compels me to write an entire blog about it. Therefore, in honor of Eli Manning looking like he got hit in the face with a chair shot, I will hit all these topics with a chair shot. (This means nothing…just a corny way of saying I’ll go through a bunch of topics.)
–Eli Manning is a tough son of a gun (or son of a Manning, whichever you prefer). He took a rough hit and had his head crimsoned a la Hulk Hogan in his prime and simply said “Aw Shucks”, got some stitches and went about his business. I won’t write anything else about the Giants/Jets because it was preseason and preseason is a farce. Though, the aspirations of both teams and the bravado of the Jets have set up an interesting season. (I’ll narrowly and totally without confidence pick the Giants.)
–Carmelo Anthony to the Knicks rumors won’t seem to go away. I have slightly mixed feelings about this. Would I want to see Melo in a Knicks uniform? Absolutely! Would it make me giddy? Of course! But do I think it makes them true contenders? Probably not. Carmelo, like Amare “Shalom” Stoudemire (whose attitude I like more and more) is a great player but not a franchise player. And unless you can build a totally excellent, totally balanced team (2004 Pistons), you need a franchise player to win. I think Chris Paul belongs in that class. Melo is an awesome scorer, capable of dropping 28 a game and 50 at any time but he’s not amazingly efficient (45%-ish shooter) and doesn’t elevate the rest of his team like true franchise guys. With that reluctantly said, I’d be one of the first to welcome him to New York. He’s still one of the top ten players in the game. I get a chair shot for dissing him.
–Derek Jeter is having the worst season of his career. His on base % is where his batting average should be and his slugging % is a paltry .387. I don’t think it’s the end for him yet (baseball players should be able to play well into their late thirties- early fourties) but rocking chair shots are on the horizon.
–Attention children. When you get older, do not attack the grandfather of your children. Not only is it completely insane behavior but you might tear a thumb ligament. Congratulations K-Rod, I’d like to see you take a few chair shots.
–A private zoo in Taiwan was fined for breeding ligers. I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, ligers are awesome. They are the combination of a tiger and a lion. On the other hand, they are a crime against nature (tigers live in Asia, lions in Africa). As a result, I cannot award any chair shots for the creation of these majestic abominations.
–Mark Wahlberg said “Justin Bieber’s like the white Tupac. Compared to a lot of people.” I have no idea what prompted him to say that and I don’t get the comparison whatsoever but the world is a better place with that having been said. I give the comment five chair shots.

Should of made Tigons. The strength and size of a male tiger with the speed, agility, and hunting prowess of a female lion. You probably already knew that, but it gets me so hype thinking about it, I could find any excuse to write about them.
For someone who claims to be smart you are really astonishingly stupid. While Ligers may be a crime against nature it is not because Lions live only in Africa. The historical range of the Lion included most of the middle east and the entirety of India where of course Tigers reside. Unfortunately humans decided to eradicate them from their Asian territory with the exception of one national park in India where Lions still live. Please get your facts straight next time.
